About

Football training sessions for anyone with a condition over the age of 16 all abilies welcome.

The club originally began life as Bridgend FC and were one of the founder members of The National Multi Disabled League. Bridgend were the only representatives from Wales to compete in the National League after much hard work finally receiving international clearance to be able to compete in the League until 2005 . Bridgend were joined by Llandudno Town and these two clubs provided players to represent Wales in the first ever European Multi Disabled Football Championships held in England 2005. Sadly soon after this tournament a total re structuring Nationally of Disability Football took place and c meant the league ceased to operate and Bridgend were left looking for teams to compete against on a regular basis.

Since then the club has had a number of highs and lows and a couple of times nearly disbanded but true Welsh grit, determination and never die attitude has enable the club to survive and continue. The club has also had opportunities to show case there passion and talent both locally and nationally at a number of prestige footballing events including being the only disabled side invited to take part in the Robbie Savage Red Nose Sports Relief challenge in 2018.

Forward to the present day and South Wales Soccability is at the forefront of enabling and empowering people with disabilities and mental health conditions to follow there dreams, reach their potential through the beautiful game. Through the clubs motto Building on Ability Not Disability.

Working with a number of community partners South Wales Soccability wants to provide more than just weekly training session it aims to enable and empower each individual to take part in a range of Sporting Opportunities Creating Community Activities Building Involving Leisure Interests Transforming Yourself.

As of the 19/20 Season South Wales Soccability DFC will be representing themselves back in the South Wales Disability League.
