An outstanding independent residential special school that provides education & care for pupils, aged 8 to 19 years, with autistic spectrum disorders compounded by extreme and challenging behaviour. Many have additional disabilities such as epilepsy.
Set in extensive rural grounds, in Sherfield on Loddon, Hampshire. The Loddon School provides a homely, caring environment for children and young people to learn and thrive in. The children and young people live at the school 52 weeks a year so the Loddon School is a home which provides education, leisure, play, outings and holidays. All children live in small family groups with their own staff who are responsible for their care and support programme and their social development.
The Loddon School has been a leading pioneer in the world of autistic education over the past thirty years. Designing it own outstanding methodology and behavioural approaches which is used nationally and internationally in both schools and adult care provision.
